Garlic consists of natural antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral properties. When garlic is crushed or chopped, it produces allicin which helps to fight against acne causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, improves blood circulation and can treat acne scars too.

How to use garlic to treat acne and scars?

1. Garlic paste

  • Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic to form a paste
  • Apply directly to the affected areas
  • Leave it on for about 10 minutes
  • Rinse off with water and pat dry.

Note: Rinse off immediately if it begins to burn or itch

2. Mix with honey and olive oil

  • Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic to form a paste
  • Now add a teaspoon of honey and olive oil in it

  • Now rinse off with water and pat dry.

3. Garlic and water

If your skin is sensitive to garlic directly applied topically, you may try diluting it with water.

  • Now add a tablespoon of water to it
  • Apply the mixture directly to the affected areas
  • Leave it on for about 10 minutes
  • Now rinse off with water and pat dry.
